Art historian, art critic, publisher, and collector. Born in Tashkent in 1966. Graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kazan University. Founder and owner of Galiyev Gallery, opened in Moscow in 2005. Author and compiler of numerous publications devoted to the work of artists and photographers. Among them are Unknown Prewar Leningrad: Painting and Graphic Art of Leningrad Artists of the Prewar Period (2004), Nikolai Feshin (1881–1955): Paintings, Drawings (2004), Arkhumas: Kazan Avant-Garde of the 1920s (2005), the two-volume Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin and His School: Painting, Graphic Art, Set Design, Book Design (2015), and Pyotr Kornilov and His Collection (2020). Lives and works in Moscow.
