Poet, prose writer, playwright, and literary critic. Born in 1951 in Amalfi, Colombia. Her work has been widely translated into English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, and Swedish. Among her best-known books are Ese animal triste, Las tretas del débil, and Explicaciones no pedidas. Her work has received numerous awards, including the Frida Kahlo Arts Award (Presea Frida Kahlo de las Artes 2025) and the Queen Sofía Poetry Prize (Premio Reina Sofía de Poesía).
