Chilean poet. Born in Amalfi, Colombia, in 1951. Recipient of the Pablo Neruda Prize, the Altazor Prize, and the Manuel Montt Prize from the University of Chile. Her books include Técnicas para cegar a los peces (Techniques for Blinding Fish), LigiaEn lugar de morir (Instead of Dying), Sombras en el Rosselot (Shadows in the Rosselot), and Ratada (Rat Invasion). Her works have been translated into English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Greek, and Swedish. Muñoz lives and writes on the island of Chiloé, at the southern tip of Chile. In 2020, Lumen published her book Misión circular (Circular Mission). In 2026, her book No es tiempo de amarrar la lengua (Now Is Not the Time to Tie Your Tongue) will be published in Mexico by Círculo de Poesía Ediciones.
