Philologist, poet, translator. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod and completed a master’s degree at the Faculty of Philology of Lomonosov Moscow State University in the program “Theory and Practice of Communication,” where she defended her MA thesis, “Poetic and Pedagogical Practices of the Literary Neo-Avant-Garde (Based on the Texts of C. Olson).” She translates contemporary poetry from Spanish and Basque. Her translations have been published in the journals Literratura and Flags, in the almanac Artikulyatsiya, and on the platform Polutona; her literary criticism has appeared on the website of the Cultural Initiative project and in the journal Literratura. She participated in the International Festival in Memory of Saúl Ibargoyen (2021) and the Free Verse Festival (2021). In 2021, Natalia Meteleva’s research project devoted to contemporary literary life in the Basque Country was supported by a grant from the Etxepare Basque Institute (Basque Country, Spain). She was a participant in the Peredelkino residency program (2021). She lives in Limassol, Cyprus.
