Epifanov
A poet and translator. Born in Siberia in 1963. Graduated from the History Faculty of the Moscow State Institute. His special interests include the works of the French thinker Simone Weil, Renaissance prose and poetry, and 20th-century Italian poetry. He is the author of several collections of poetry and prose. Among the works known to Russian-language readers in Petr Epifanov’s translations are Simone Weil’s Notebooks (2021), Giambattista Basile’s The Tale of Tales (2015), Jacopo Sannazaro’s Arcadia (2017), Dino Campana’s Orphic Songs (2019), Antonia Pozzi’s Words (2013), Philippe Jaccottet’s The Light of Our Lady (2022), and others.
